Living-room/kitchen/dining-room
The living room area has a chaise-longue, sofa, armchair and a ‘Steamer’ chair. There is a Norwegian wood burning stove. A pile of logs is kept under the stairs (more logs can be found in the barn). A CD player and television is provided along with a video and a large supply of feature films, and films about the area. The television only gets French TV, why not put the subtitles on and improve your French! There are also books, games and guides to the Languedoc on the book shelves.
The kitchen area has an electric oven, gas hob, double sink, microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle, cafetiere, teapot, pots and pans, and so on. There is plenty of crockery and cutlery and a large selection of kitchen utensils. Barbecue cooking equipment is also kept in the kitchen along with picnic equipment.
A dining area is provided in the third section of the open-plan downstairs, next to the door to the garden. Table cloths, napkins and washing up cloths are provided, as well as candelabras and candles.
An attractive old staircase winds up from the corner of the room to the first floor. |
